Earth Day

So, What is Earth Day like for me?

I read in the paper today that a local guy named Wes "Scoop" Nisker's recommended a book: "What on Earth Evolved" by Christopher Lloyd. He ranked the 100 species that have had the most impact on life on Earth. Humans are No. 6. Earthworms are No. 1.

I just knew that earthworms were #1.

Anyway, I wanted to do something for Earth Day. 

I'm planting in a raised bed today a few veggies and herbs, and I got a blueberry bush too.

I put out a bird feeder on the back deck... which is as much for my own selfish reasons, so I can see some of those beautiful creatures.
